National Debt Clock, New York City, , YIKES. How about raising taxes? Let everyone participate in the recovery. Invest in infrastructure projects. For every dollar spent on infrastructure, $1.50 is generated in the economy! Thank god the tea party crazies weren’t around when the U.S. developed the space program, built the interstate highways, fought a couple of world wars, developed nuclear fission, electrified rural America, built the Hoover Dam, built the Panama Canal, built the transcontinental rail road system, the G.I Program and a democratic education system and about a zillion other projects that only a federal government can provide.
